English: I suppose I was a 'Mod' but I didn't have all the mirrors and lights. My Vespa 160 was tuned:
I took off the air cleaner to allow it to breath more easily. That made it run weak. I couldn't get a larger jet for the carb so I used a jeweller's file to open out the one in the carb. I cut open the exhaust and removed the baffles then brazed two copper tailpipes to it. I took off the cylinder head and polished it and the piston ports. I put a larger diameter tyre on the back and a wheelbarrow tyre (with tread only one way) on the front. I used to run it on 33:1 instead of the recommended 25:1 mixture.
