English: McMordie memorial, Belfast City Cemetery. Memorial at 811787 to various members of the McMordie family.
Recorded are the Reverend John Andrew McMordie (died 18th July 1879) who was minister at Seaforde, County Down (see 340774). Also recorded is the death of his wife, Margaret Kirkpatrick (30th January 1885). The most famous of the McMordie clan recorded is that of Robert James McMordie MA (died 25th March 1914) who was Lord Mayor of Belfast from 1910-14 and also M.P. for East Belfast (see 495616). |
