Description
English: A close up of the moon rising behind the McMath-Pierce Solar Telescope located at Kitt Peak National Observatory (KPNO), a Program of NSF's NOIRLab, near Tucson, Arizona. The McMath-Pierce Solar Telescope was decommissioned in 2017 and is being converted to the NOIRLab Windows on the Universe Center for Astronomy Outreach.
