Summary
[edit]DescriptionMayor Stromberg cutting the ribbon, August 2015.jpg |
Enter another first for Oregon and ODOT. We’re the only state with an official, state scenic bikeways program. The latest ones are in the southern part of the state. In late June, the new Cascade-Siskiyou Scenic Bikeway was dedicated by Ashland Mayor John Stromberg, Oregon Bicycle & Pedestrian Committee Chair Jenna Stanke-Marmon, Ashland Chamber of Commerce officials and others. The CSSB is one of the more extreme bikeways in the state. The Wild Rivers Scenic Bikeway on the south coast was also dedicated recently. In addition to contributing to our uniqueness, the routes generate millions of dollars into Oregon’s tourist economy. |
