English: This file represents a general sine function. There is a coordinate plane with "x" the X-axis and "y = f(x)", the Y-axis. The X values go from -2π to 2π, and the Y values go from -2 to 2. There is a sine curve oscillating around its midline m represented by an orange straight line. In blue, there is a crest point A, a neighbouring midline point M, a trough point B which is the trough right next to A, and a crest point C, which is the crest right after that of A. The amplitude a is represented by a purple vertical straight line, one going downward from A to the m, and one going upward from B to m. The period P is represented by line segment [AC], and a fourth of the period, (1/4)P, is represented by a curve joining A and M.
