Expans. alar, antic, unc. i^. Near the Victoria Falls, in January. LEPIDOPTERA HETEROCERA. Moths of various sizes and hawk-moths appear to be very numer- ous in Southern Africa. A large number of species of the former were collected by Mr. Oates, chiefly of small size, the majority of which, unfortunately, were ill preserved. Family Sphingid.*;.
