Description
English: Sungai Utik is located in the north-west of Kapuas Hulu, roughly 75 km away from Putussibau. The longhouse of Sungai Utik is relatively old and quite big with large porches inside and outside. The inhabitants of Sungai Utik belong to the Iban tribe. An important fact about Sungai Utik is that the inhabitants preserve their forest and they do not have any ambitions to change this. They live with and in their environment without destroying it. In 2008 they received the Sus­tain­able For­est Man­age­ment Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for Kam­pung Sun­gai Utik com­mu­nity.
