English: A digital recreation of the calligraphy that is inscribed on the Uthmani Mihrab in Masjid an-Nabawi that reads:
"قال النبي صلوات الله وسلامه عليه إن سركم أن تقبل صلاتكم فليؤمكم علماؤكم فإنهم وفدكم فيما بينكم وبين ربكم وفي رواية فليؤمكم خياركم" meaning "The Prophet PBUH said "If you would like your prayers to be accepted then make the 'most knowledgeable ones' to lead you [in your prayers] for they are your delegates between you and your Lord (or in another narration 'best ones')"" followed by a supplication that reads: "اللهم صل وسلم على اشرف الخلق محمد واله وصحبه اجمعين" meaning "O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the most honorable creation, Muhammad and his family and his companions." |
