English: 4-6-2T locomotive for suburban services outside Marylebone Station. View northward in yard outside London Marylebone, terminus of the ex-Great Central lines. Robinson Class A5/1 4-6-2T No. 9828 was one of a fleet of engines employed on the suburban servies from Marylebone to High Wycombe, Princes Risborough and Aylesbury in the 1920's - 1950's. The structure on the right is a mechanical ash-plant and on the left is a turntable, provided to save the engines on duty returning out to their home Depot at Neasden. |
