This tower is a scheduled ancient monument and is also grade II listed.

It is scheduled under list entry number 1016554, see Historic England - Martello tower E, 300m south west of junction of Marine Parade West and Wash Lane, Clacton-on-Sea. (Archived from the original on 21 September 2015.)

It is grade II listed under list entry number 1337150, see Historic England - Martello Tower Adjacent To Sea Wall, Butlins Holiday Village. (Archived from the original on 21 September 2015.)
