De bas en haut et de gauche à droite : - tour dite Fabri - clocher de l'église Saint Maur - beffroi de la Raymondie - tour de Briance - tour Tournemire - tour du couvent des Cordeliers - tour de Mirandol Louis Blanchard est un philanthrope français du XXe siècle, figure du monde associatif de la sauvegarde du patrimoine du Quercy, scientifique parisien, globe-trotteur, dessinateur et photographe. Son épouse Marguerite née Delvert, originaire de Martel, était historienne de l'art travaillant au musée d'archéologie nationale de Saint Germain en Laye et au Louvre. Ils sont à l’origine du sauvetage patrimonial, du mouvement de rénovation, de la notoriété et de la riche vie associative et culturelle de Martel. Louis Blanchard fut surnommé "le moine des vieilles pierres" par ses amis Françoise Giroud, Haroun Tazzief et Christiane Desroches-Noblecourt. |
