Description Another ongoing study at Elkhorn Slough is investigating how sea otters utilize tidal wetland habitats—where they may benefit from the rich food sources of estuaries and the ease of resting in warm shallows and sun-bathed marshes—helping us understand how sea otters might one day recolonize and balance similar habitats found elsewhere in California.
