New seahorse logo of the Marine Biological Laboratory

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The brand identity of the Marine Biological Laboratory was announced on March 4, 2021. The original legacy seal inspires it. The three points reflect the tips of the trident in the legacy seal. The seahorse and the DNA double helix convey the institution's storied past and vision for the future. Elements of sea grass and the DNA double helix form the lower half. The DNA double helix symbolizes modern molecular techniques, while the sea grass pays homage to MBL's leadership in ecological research.
