Description
English: The daughter of a 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion Marine carries an American flag to a ceremonial fire here. The U.S. Flag Code dictates that, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”
