Description
English: Signature of the former actress Marie Anne Armande Carton-Dancourt de Fontaine, known as Manon Dancourt (1684-1740). Daughter of the actors Florent Carton Dancourt and Marie-Thérèse Le Noir de La Thorillière, she was born in Paris in 1684. Manon Dancourt began acting at the age of eleven and she was received at the Comédie-Française on 13 January 1699. On 4 November 1702 in Paris, Manon Dancourt married Jean-Louis-Guillaume de Fontaine (1666-1714), commissioner and controller of the Navy and Wars in the department of Flanders and Picardy. She became the mistress of financier Samuel Bernard. From this relationship were born three natural daughters including Louise Marie Madeleine, the future Madame Dupin. Manon Dancourt is the owner of the Château de Passy. She died on 13 February 1740 in Paris.

Manon Dancourt débute au théâtre dès l'âge de onze ans et elle est reçue à la Comédie-Française le 13 janvier 1699. Manon Dancourt épouse le 4 novembre 1702 à Paris, Jean-Louis-Guillaume de Fontaine (1666-1714), commissaire et contrôleur de la Marine et des Guerres au département des Flandres et de Picardie. Elle devient la maîtresse du financier Samuel Bernard. De cette relation sont nées trois filles naturelles dont Louise Marie Madeleine, la future Madame Dupin. Manon Dancourt est la propriétaire du château de Passy. Elle meurt le 13 février 1740 à Paris.
