Summary
[edit]DescriptionMarcy Lutes on WAKE radio' show 'This is Marcy,' 1945 to 1947.jpg |
English: "This Is Marcy" radio program, heard on WAKE radio at Wakeman General Hospital, in Camp Atterbury, Indiana, USA. The program had Marcy Lutes play D.J. and 'spin' music requests for recovering American servicemen. It was so popular that when it reached it's 10,000th request, the local paper predicted that the radio show would last for as long as the hospital itself. In fact, the show ran from late 1945, until Marcy left for Indianapolis, and WIBC radio in 1947. |
