Description
Español: Es herbívora menor de plantas del género Aristolochia, y al consumirlas, secuestran el metabolito secundario aristoloquina presente en esas plantas, metabolito que le favorece, porque al estar presente en su cuerpo la hace ser desagradable si es consumida por depredadores (por ejemplo, una araña). El metabolito secundario en el cuerpo lo utilizan como protección, desempeña un papel en la defensa química contra los depredadores, y la protección es "anunciada" a través de su coloración de advertencia.
