有记者提问：美国总统拜登5月1日在与到访的菲律宾总统马科斯会谈中称，美国对菲律宾的协防承诺将覆盖到南海地区。请问中方对此有何评论？ 毛宁表示，在地区国家的共同努力下，当前南海局势保持了总体稳定，南海的航行和飞越自由从来不存在问题。《美菲共同防御条约》是美国与菲律宾的双边条约，中方坚决反对任何国家以双边条约为借口，插手南海问题，损害中方领土主权和海洋权益。 毛宁强调，南海是地区国家共同的家园，不应当成为域外势力的“狩猎场”。南海的和平稳定关键在于地区国家坚持相互信任，团结合作，把妥处分歧的主动权掌握在自己手里。 |
