Summary
[edit]DescriptionMansion of Smirnovs Bersenevskaya Embankment 16 build 9.JPG |
English: The mansion of Smirnovs merchant family. The house with a fragment of palaty[1].
The end of 16th c. – 17th c. The building was reconstructed more than once: in the middle of 18th c., in 1820s, in 1860s – 1870s, in 20th c. The mansion and the neighboring vodka distillery were purchased by the wine dealer Ivan Alekseevich Smirnov (1806–1873) in 1860s. After the October Revolution the manor was nationalized. Now (2013) the house is used by a private enterprise as an office building.
