Description
English: Manihot anisophylla is a small shrub (for Manihot standards) that grows betwen rocks. M. grahanii is also endemic in the area but grows in better soil conditions. This is a good example of symptatric speciation. Both species could be a source of tolerance to low temperature. Freezing conditions happen every year in this region. However, this particular location is also semiarid.
Español: Manihot anisophylla es un arbusto semi-rastrero y pequeño para los estándares del género Manihot. Las condiciones rocosas donde crece ofrece un buen ejemplo de especiación simpátrica pues otra especie (M. grahanii) es también endémica en la región. M. anisophylla también crece en condiciones semiáridas como las que se encuentran en el noroeste de la provincia de Córdoba (Argentina).
