Summary

[edit]
Description Its full name is the Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Mary, St Denys and St George in Manchester. For most of the seven or eight hundred years of its existence it was a church. Collegiate status was granted in the early 1420s. Though it had always been a pretty imposing church, it wasn't designated as a cathedral until 1847.
