Summary
English: Château de Malmaison à Rueil Malmaison, Hauts-de-Seine, France. Yellow chamber known as the Emperor's Chamber, although we are not sure that Napoleon actually used this room. François-Honoré Jacob-Desmalter's bed (1806) from the Palais des Tuileries, mahogany seats from the Château de Saint-Cloud. Stretched ivory gourgouran striped textiles (1969) reminiscent of the striped muslin mentioned in the 1814 inventory. |
