English: In 2024, fourteen tropical cyclones worldwide have reached at least Category 3 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, as analyzed by the National Hurricane Center for the Eastern and Central Pacific and North Atlantic, and by the Joint Typhoon Warning Center for other global basins. In the first row of the image are Cyclone Anggrek from January, Cyclone Djoungou from February, Cyclones Neville and Megan from March, Cyclone Olga from April, and Hurricane Beryl from June. The second row features Typhoon Gaemi from July, Typhoon Ampil, Hurricane Gilma, Typhoon Shanshan from August, and Typhoon Yagi and Hurricane John from September. In the third row is Hurricane Helene and Typhoon Krathon from September (from left to right). |
