Summary
English: The building consists of two separate buildings: a house at the corner of the square and a second house called "house of notaries". This half-timbered house was used as a study of notaries since 1545. Very restored, it does not keep much of its interior fittings. The posterior facade revealed the presence of a balustersres staircase preserved in a half-timbered cage which serves the various levels up to the attic. The stairwell consists of a timber-framed structure forming three spans, furnished with straight balusters of different models forming guardrails, and posts with square section without filling. In the central span, the silt is partly visible, supported by curved arcades forming a creeping arc. A balustrade crowns the two levels of the staircase, cut by a central post supporting the roof plate. This last level of balusters seems to be the oldest. This baluster staircase structure in an open-sided cage was common in the area. (source: Mérimée)
