Description
Deutsch: Am 12. November 2008 während einer Gedenkveranstaltung im Ärztehaus Hannover im Beisein von Engagierten der Bezirksstelle Hannover der Ärztekammer Niedersachsen (ÄKN) und des „Arbeitskreises Schicksale jüdischer Ärzte“ enthülltes Mahnmal zur Erinnerung an die durch die Nationalsozialisten verfolgten jüdischen Ärzte in Hannover. Die Stelenskulptur des Hildesheimer Bildhauers und Designers Peter Schmitz besteht aus Glaskuben auf unterschiedlich hohen Stelen, auf denen teils mit Laserstrahl beschriftete und teils illustrierte Glaskuben an die Schicksale der zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus getöteten jüdischen Ärzte aus Hannover erinnern. Ein leerer Kubus erinnert an diejenigen Ärztinnen und Ärzte sowie zudem an alle hannoverschen Bürger*Innen jüdischer Herkunft, die ebenfalls Opfer des Nationalsozialismus wurden.

Die Skulptur konnte durch eine Einzelspende der Doktoren Ricarda Niedergerke und Udo Niedergerke finanziert werden ...
