In the center of the image is a bird with a black head, neck and breast and a white stomach and lower body. It is standing on top of an angled fence post oriented towards the camera but looking slight to the right. Behind it is some tall grass and then tall deciduous trees.

Magpie are in the same family as ravens, crows, and jays
