Description

Beskrivelse / Description: I årene 1851–1913 holdt Universitetsbiblioteket til i den ene av universitetsbygningene ved Karl Johans gate (Domus Bibliotheca).

Magasinfløyene ble bygget med gjennomgående, bærende stålkonstruksjoner for bokhyllene som gulvet ble hengt opp på. Hyllene sto altså ikke på gulvene; gulvene hang på hyllene (kilde: Universitetsbiblioteket i ord og bilder, 1986)
