| Description |
English: Maenhir Pentrefelin Standing Stone Unusually situated on the pavement beside the A497 in the middle of the village, the stone is about 3.5 metres high. It bears a later carving of a simple cross and the date 1721. There are two local explanations of the stone: one is that it is prehistoric; the other is that a local farmhand brought it home on his way back from the pub, but his mother, refusing to have it in the house, told him to get rid of it somewhere! |
