A print on Madri by Raja Ravi Varma

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A chromolithograph print titled "Madri", who is the second wife of King Pandu in the epic Mahabharata. According to the source, other than Mahabharata's description of Madri's dusky skin and crimson garments, this print seems to have no other Puranic/mythological influence on it and is derived from an oil painting titled "Maharashtrian lady carrying fruits" by Ravi Ravi Varma
Date 19th-20th century
