English: MUNITIONS PRODUCTION ON THE HOME FRONT, 1914-1918 Female munition workers at a depot in Newbury unloading boxes of 18 lb shells being broken down for inspection and restacking, 20th May 1917. Five women are doing work usually performed by twenty-two, so conveyors are being used, which go 7.4 times as quick. |
