Description
Português: O Brasão e a Bandeira, são figuras simbólicas. Uma insígnia que representa a identidade do lugar, a sua evolução política administrativa e econômica, seus costumes e tradições.

Ao centro, mostra a exuberante natureza cercada de uma região montanhosa e uma ilha paradisíaca onde correm dois importantes rios: Itanhém, conhecido popularmente como rio Alcobaça devido a sua água salobra que lembra o mar, e o rio Água Fria, cujas margens serviram de pouso dos tropeiros, no passado, dando início ao povoamento e à história do lugar.

Os sete troncos de madeira simbolizam os dois distritos (Itupeva e Nova Lídice) e os cinco povoados (Água Limpa, Juracitaba, Nova Zelândia, Santa Luzia do Norte e Vila Mutum).
