Description

I recently picked up a copy of a KMZ Helios 44-2 which I feel is REALLY soft in the center for what it is, and I wanted to compare it to the (supposedly) optically inferior MMZ and Valdai versions.

I think this test confirms my suspicion that I got a lemon.

All images locked off on tripod, same position and lighting, ISO-100, aperture priority top keep lighting levels as close as possible. I refocused on every shot just to make sure.

10" self-timer to eliminate camera shake.
