Nederlands: In de nabijheid van de voormalige aardappelmeelfabriek werd een schuur gebouwd met slaapplaatsen, keukengedeelte, woongedeelte voor de leiding en andere voorzieningen. Kamp Oranje zoals het genoemd werd, was bedoeld voor landarbeiders in de aardappelteelt en de fabriek. In de beginjaren van de oorlog waren het vooral joden die er tewerkgesteld waren. Ook onderduikers verbleven met grote regelmaat in kamp Oranje. Nadat alle joden waren weggevoerd naar Westerbork, werd het kamp gevorderd door de Nederlandse Arbeidsdienst. Het kamp werd nu bevolkt door jonge mensen die een soort dienstplicht van een half jaar vervulden, waarin zij kennismaakten met de nationaal socialistische ideeë. |
