Ruudt Peters, 2005 RMCC v887a-h

Deze bekers en schalen zijn zowel naar boven als naar onderen gelijk van vorm; ze verbeelden respectievelijk de hemel, God, en de aarde, de mens. De inspiratie voor zijn ontwerp haalt Ruudt Peters uit het Onze Vader, het belangrijkste gebed van christenen: ‘zoals in de hemel, zo ook op aarde’. Waar ‘hemel’ en ‘aarde’ elkaar raken zijn giethars en textiel aangebracht: transparant voor de doopset en rood voor de avondmaalset. Het rood verwijst naar het lichaam en bloed van Christus. In het vieren van eucharistie of avondmaal herdenken christenen zijn dood en opstanding.
