Description

Honey is not only used in sweets but can be used in cooking main plates such as this Pork Spare Ribs. Honey is used a lot by the Orientals in their food, but not only Orientals use honey in their food. A good example of European/American cooking using honey is a rack of spare ribs cooked in delicious honey based sauce. - MALTA

Pork Spare Ribs with Honey (Recipe)

Ingredients:

500g Pork Spare Ribs

Marinating Ingredients:

150ml Honey 1tbs Soy sauce 1tbs 5 spice powder 3 chopped cloves of garlic 1tbs sesame oil 1tbs chopped root ginger Freshly chopped coriander leaves Salt and freshly ground pepper

Method:

1. Boil spare ribs in salted boiling water for 15 minutes. 2. Drain and transfer the ribs into a suitable container. 3. Mix all marinade ingredients in another bowl, stir well and amalgamate with the ribs. 4. Leave to marinate for approximately 2 hours and grill until cooked.

5. Serve with chopped coriander leaves.
