Description

A Honey and Chocolate Tart, whose main ingredient is honey. Although honey is sweet it leaves a very good taste on one’s palate. - MALTA

HONEY and Chocolate Tart . (Yield 10 inch flan)

Ingredients:

400g Sweet pastry 50g Golden syrup 150g Honey 45g Brown Sugar 150g Dark Chocolate 50g Butter 3 Eggs ( beaten ) 200g Pecan Nuts or Walnuts 3g Cinnamom Powder

          Vanilla essence

Method:

1. Roll out sweet pastry in a buttered flan case. 2. Melt the Chocolate, brown sugar, butter, golden syrup and honey together. 3. Remove from heat and beta in the eggs, vanilla and the cinnamom powder. 4. Fill the case with the mix and place the pecans on top. 5. Bake in a moderate at 160*c for approximately 40 minutes.
