Summary

[edit]
Description

American WW2 era Medium Tank Built (M4A4):- July 1942 to November 1943 Total Production (M4A4):- 7,499 Main Armament:- 75mm gun M3 The M4A4 of the famous Sherman introduced the Chrysler Multibank engine, which in turn required a 6 inch longer hull. Although very fire resistant, the engine required careful maintenance to remain reliable. This problem, combined with lighter armour, made this model unpopular and it saw very little American service. Instead, it was exported to the UK and Soviet Union, neither of whom liked it very much either! Restored to what appears to be an original colour scheme, this Soviet example is now on display in Hall 10 of the Patriot Museum Complex. Park Patriot, Kubinka, Moscow Oblast, Russia.
