Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt - Bavariaring The memorial to the victims of the Wiesn assassination is a memorial for the 13 victims killed in the Oktoberfest assassination attempt of September 26, 1980, installed on the location of the explosion on the northern edge of the Theresienwiese at the main entrance of the Oktoberfest. Sculptor: Friedrich Koller 1981 In 2008 the plant was redesigned. A natural stone wall built behind the stele and a flower bed were replaced by a 2.70 meter high, semicircular steel wall. With its perforations, it symbolizes the injuries caused by the attack. The stele itself was placed in the center of a circle inscribed on the floor. |
