English: Westland Lysander in the National Air and Space Museum, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Washington DC.
The Lysander was a British army co-operation and liaison aircraft produced by Westland Aircraft. It was used during the Second World War and was renowned for its ability to operate from small, unprepared airstrips. The aircraft's exceptional short-field performance made possible clandestine missions behind enemy lines that placed or recovered agents.

De Lysander was een verbindingsvliegtuig gebruikt door de Britten in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het was vooral bekend om zijn korte landings- en startafstand op onvoorbereide landingsbanen. Deze korte afstand maakte het mogelijk agenten voor clandestiene missies achter de linies te brengen of te halen.
