Summary
[edit]DescriptionLucius Bartlett House, Buffalo, New York - 20200610.jpg |
English: The Lucius Bartlett House, 45 Linwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York, June 2020. Built in 1895, this Queen Anne style residence distinguishes itself with its unusual double side-gabled roof, pierced with dormers on the Linwood Avenue side featuring equally unusual trefoil-like window hoods, and with the unusual double windows on the second floor separated by multi-light vertical transoms. Lucius E. Bartlett (1860-1945) and his wife Anna née MacIntosh (1863-c. 1920) were the house's original residents; he was a lithographer with the L. C. Weller Company and lived here until c. 1923. The house was used as a medical office in the 1970s by Dr. Raymond Gibbons but now serves once again as a private residence. |
