Description
English: Looking west on Lindell Boulevard from Grand Avenue. Photo taken July 1, 1921. Automobiles and a traffic officer on Lindell Boulevard west of Grand Avenue. Elegant private homes lined the north side of the 3600 block of Lindell. Saint Francis Xavier Church is pictured at left. The Berlitz School of Languages is pictured at right, at the northwest corner of the intersection. The school's building was razed in 1921 to permit the construction of the fashionable Melbourne Hotel.
