Summary
[edit]DescriptionLooking across to Trumpet Hill House - geograph.org.uk - 853634.jpg |
English: Looking across to Trumpet Hill House The green dome is of Trumpet Hill House, a large house designed by David Barry and constructed in 1901. It was originally called Millside, referring to a smock windmill that stood from about 1765 until 1950, alongside which the house was built. Even though the nearby road is called Trumpets Hill Road, the house itself is called Trumpet Hill House (only one trumpet).
With thanks to Trumpet Hill House resident David Bellamy for some of this information. |
