Marienkirche Lonsee, Baden-Württemberg, Germany Deutsch: Chor der Marienkirche in Lonsee mit den 1863 durch den Ulmer Münsterbaumeister Ferdinand Thrän gestalteten neugotischen Veränderungen und dem ebenfalls 1863 durch den Stuttgarter Architekten Carl Friedrich Beisbarth entworfenen neugotischen Altar. Das Altarblatt mit der Kreuzigung wurde von Friedrich Dirr 1864 (siehe Signatur „F. Dirr 1864“ unten links) nach einem Kupferstich von Martin Schongauer gemalt und 1963 von Fritz Rieber in Blaubeuren restauriert. Die Schreinerarbeiten wurden durch den Ulmer Modellschreiner Joss ausgeführt, die Statuen von Petrus und Paul wurden durch den Bildhauer Ferdinand Ries aus Schäbisch-Gmünd geschaffen. Das Chorgestühl ist vermutlich das 1698 entstandene Werk des Ettlenschießer Schreiners. Die Gemälde mit Darstellungen der Apostel entstanden Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts aus der Hand des Nürnberger Malers Christoph Nikolaus Kleemann (1737–1797), der sich ab 1770 in Ulm niederließ. Die Gemälde und das Gestühl gehörten vor 1963 zu der nicht mehr existierenden Nordempore im Kirchenschiff.
