De Eurofighter Typhoon is een Europees multinationaal tweemotorig, supersonisch, canard deltavleugel, multifunctioneel gevechtsvliegtuig. De Typhoon is oorspronkelijk ontworpen als een gevechtsvliegtuig voor luchtverdediging en wordt geproduceerd door een consortium van Airbus, BAE Systems en Leonardo. Het is een zeer capabel en extreem wendbaar gevechtsvliegtuig van de vierde generatie, dat kan worden ingezet voor het volledige spectrum van luchtoperaties, waaronder luchtpolitie, vredesondersteuning en conflicten met hoge intensiteit.
English: Eurofighter Typhoon at the RAF Museum, Hendon, London. This is one of the prototypes of the Eurofighter Typhoon. The Eurofighter Typhoon is a European multinational twin-engine, supersonic, canard delta wing, multirole fighter.The Typhoon was designed originally as an air-superiority fighter and is manufactured by a consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo. It is a highly capable and extremely agile fourth-generation multi-role combat aircraft, capable of being deployed for the full spectrum of air operations, including air policing, peace support and high-intensity conflict.
