Summary
[edit]DescriptionLondon Express - geograph.org.uk - 966332.jpg |
English: London Express. The Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment - 45137 - heads a Sheffield to St. Pancras express towards Chesterfield. The class 45's were the mainstay of express passenger services between London and the Midlands from 1960 until the mid-1980's. This very locomotive hauled the official last class 45 departure from St. Pancras to Nottingham in May 1987. The bridge in the distance carries the B6543, Brimington Road, over the line. |
