English: Vågan Church, Lofoten Cathedral in Kabelvåg, Norway. Altar piece from 1869/70 by Frederik Nicolai Jensen (1818-1870), vicar, painter and member of Stortinget. Triptyk with scenes fron Getsemane. There is a fourth painting at the top with angels.
Norsk bokmål: Vågan kirke, Lofotkatedralen, i Kabelvåg. Altertavlen er malt av Frederik Nicolai Jensen (1818-1870), prest, maler og stortingsrepresentant. Tavlen sto
ferdig i 1869-1870. Den er en triptykon med motiver fra Jesu kamp i Getsemane. Over de tre bildene i er et fjerde bilde, som forestiller engler som venter med seierskransen. |
