Description Photo of the commissioning of the Lockheed PO-1W Warning Star by the U.S. Navy air development squadron VX-4 Vanguards at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland (USA), circa 1949. In 1952 the PO-1W was redesignated WV-1. Note the smaller radome of the APS-20 radar below the fuselage compared to the production VW-2 (after 1962 EC-121K).
