Description
English: Lockheed A-12 on board the Intrepid

The Lockheed A-12 was a reconnaissance aircraft built for the Central Intelligence Agency and was the precursor to both the U.S. Air Force YF-12 interceptor and the famous SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft.

This A-12 served as a radar-test example early in 1962 at the secret base Area 51.
