Description

HOHENFELS, Germany--Col. John Digiambattista, Commander of the 1st Bde. Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Div., speaks with Col. Raimundas Vaiksnoras, Commander of the Lithuanian Iron Wolf Bde., about the strategies and tactics being used during Combined Resolve II where one of Vaiksnoras's subordinate companies is a participant.

Vaiksnoras was visiting to see his troops and get a sense of the training area for an upcoming exercise.

"We do not have such huge capabilities and possbilities [in Lithuania] to train our soldiers on the ground with mechanized infantry units and cavalry... [We will] look at and get the best example and practice from Iron Horse Brigade."

Combined Resolve II is a U.S. Army Europe-directed multinational exercise at the Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas, including more than 4,000 participants from 14 allied and partner countries. The exercise features a combined arms battalion of the 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, the U.S. Army's Regionally-Aligned rotational brigade combat team that supports the U.S. Army's Regionally-Aligned rotational brigade combat team that supports the U.S. European Command for training and contingency missions.
