Description
English: Linwood Church of Christ, 2523 Main Street, Buffalo, New York, October 2020. A relatively rare example of late Postmodernism adapted to the template of ecclesiastical architecture, the building's requisite stylized adaptations of traditional pre-Modern design tropes are evident above all in the fenestration, which features round arches crowning several of the smaller windows and tracery in the larger ones in a motif that imitates a Greek cross. Headquartered since 1963 in the former All Saints Episcopal Church, the erstwhile Linwood Avenue Church of Christ moved into the building in 2001, in the process dropping the word "avenue" from their name to reflect their new location.
